Having loved and performed music of every genre (with the exception of Grand Opera) in a whirlwind life connected by Cy Coleman, Ewan McCall, Johnny Mercer, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Paul Simon, Noel Coward, Janis Ian, Stephen Sondheim, George Gershwin, Willie Nelson, Shirley Eikhard and Charlie Daniels, I find that I still lean into my eclectic roots when I write for myself. All of these are songs I've loved or had requested of me by special musical friends.
